Full job description

Santos & Co is a new establishment in the UK. The beautiful adventure began as a vineyard in Lagoa, Portugal in 2016. Our first restaurant is coming to Brewery Square in Spring 2025 and we are seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our Front of House team where you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Our team will be passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering impeccable service in a sophisticated environment, whilst upselling our own valuable produce, created to awaken the senses.

Key responsibilities include:

Guest experience leadership – Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest relations, ensuring every guest is warmly welcomed and consistently receives a refined, personalised dining experience. Proactively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Reservations & floor management – Oversee reservations and seating plans, optimising table turnover, capacity and guest flow. Coordinate walk-ins, special requests and VIP bookings while maintaining service excellence.
Advanced menu & beverage expertise – Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including wine and cocktail pairings. Confidently guide guests and support team members with recommendations and training.
Service excellence & supervision – Supervise table service standards across the floor, ensuring timely, polished and attentive service. Anticipate guest needs and intervene where necessary to maintain high service levels.
Bar oversight – Oversee bar operations including preparation, presentation and consistency of drinks. Ensure stock levels, cleanliness and organisation meet brand standards. Contribute to cocktail development and stay informed on industry trends.
Ambience & presentation standards – Maintain responsibility for the overall look, feel and atmosphere of the restaurant. Ensure all areas are immaculate, tables are perfectly set and service flows seamlessly throughout service periods.
Team leadership & coordination – Support, mentor and guide Front of House team members. Liaise closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service, effective communication and efficient shift handovers.
Compliance & safety leadership – Ensure full adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations. Act as a role model for best practices, addressing issues promptly to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment
Previous supervisory or senior Front of House experience preferred

Professional demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
