Are you interested in traditional craftsmanship and innovative timber design? Whether you're an experienced designer or looking to start or change your career, we'd love to hear from you.

We are looking for Apprentice, Trainee and Qualified Oak Frame Designers to join our growing team, creating bespoke oak and timber-framed buildings including homes, extensions, garages and garden rooms.

As an Oak Frame Designer, you will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and our production team to design high-quality oak-framed structures, transforming concepts into detailed production drawings while ensuring designs are practical, structurally sound, and visually outstanding.

About the Role

Depending on your experience, you'll be involved in:

Producing CAD drawings and 3D models for bespoke oak-framed buildings.
Developing designs from initial concepts through to production.
Working with clients, architects, engineers and our workshop team.
Ensuring designs meet structural, practical and aesthetic requirements.
Learning traditional oak framing techniques alongside modern design methods.

We're Looking For

We welcome applications from:

Qualified Designers

Experience in oak frame or timber frame design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp or Dietrich's.
Strong technical drawing and problem-solving skills.

Apprentices & Trainees

An interest in design, construction, architecture or woodworking.
A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Good attention to detail and enthusiasm for traditional craftsmanship.
Experience is not essential – full training will be provided for the right candidate.
