Full job description

Schedule: 4–5 days per week (including weekends)

Hours of work: 10.00am to 3.30pm

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Tea Room Assistant to join our busy and welcoming tea room.

This is a varied role combining customer service with food preparation. You'll be serving customers throughout the day while also preparing fresh sandwiches before we open each morning. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing excellent service, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing fresh sandwiches and other light food before opening.
Serving customers and providing excellent customer service.
Taking orders and operating the till.
Making hot and cold drinks.
Clearing and cleaning tables.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Assisting with general day-to-day duties to keep the tea room running smoothly.

About You

Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Organised and able to work efficiently under pressure.
Previous café, tea room, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
A Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage but not essential.
