Full job description

Role: Logistics Operative

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (End of 2026)

Hours: Monday – Friday 1330-2200, or Sunday - Thursday 2200-0630 or Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:00

Purpose Of the Role:

To follow the correct processes in an efficient and timely manner ensuring the operation in the Warehouse delivers outstanding service to customer specific requirements. All Operational activities within a team and on own initiative in the Transit Terminal (cross dock).

Key Responsibilities:

Correct movement of freight within the Transit Terminal (cross dock)
Loading and unloading freight
Using correct MHE for activities within the Transit Terminal (cross dock)
Damage reporting following correct processes
Adhering to Health and Safety including all SSOW
Use IT equipment daily including scanners and computers for all tasks
Completion of all documentation associated with the task correctly
Timed activities are met within loading and unloading

The Ideal candidate will have:

Experience putting away or retrieving heavy & high value goods
Strong team player
Good attention to detail
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to work on own initiative / unsupervised
Computer literate
Manual handling skills
Awareness of health and safety issues
Numeracy and literacy skill
