Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes for various occasions, ensuring that each creation meets our high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Create and design custom cake decorations based on customer requests and specifications.
Prepare cakes, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
Use various decorating techniques, including piping, fondant application, and airbrushing, to achieve desired designs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
Assist in the preparation of other goods as needed.
Stay updated on current trends in cake decoration.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production or food preparation is essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices within a kitchen environment.
Experience working in a cake shop or bakery setting is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and artistic skills for cake decoration.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
