Full job description

Hours: 8.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday, 30 minutes for lunch (35 hours a week)

Salary: £27,500 – £32,500 (dependent on experience)

Location: Shireoaks, Nottinghamshire (office based)

Permanent position – immediate start available. Full training given.

About us

We are a family-owned online retailer, established for over 15 years and based in Shireoaks, Notts. We sell primarily on Amazon through FBA, shipping over 20,000 items a week, alongside our own website and eBay store. We are a small, friendly team who work efficiently, use our data well, make the most of AI tools to work smarter, and move quickly. As we head into our busiest time of year, we are looking for an E-Commerce Administrator to join the office team.

The role

This is a hands-on role at the centre of our day-to-day operation. Daily, you will help run our Amazon and eBay stores – listings, orders and stock – look after our customers and keep our dispatch team moving. Over time, and with full training, you will also become part of the stock planning and sales analysis that keeps our Amazon inventory in the right place at the right time.

You don’t need to arrive knowing all of this. But we do need someone who has experience of selling online – ideally on Amazon or eBay, but a B2B or B2C website also counts – along with good organisation, a comfort with spreadsheets and numbers, and the appetite to build on it.

What you'll do

Support our sales channels: Help manage and maintain our Amazon and eBay accounts day to day: listings, orders, stock levels and customer messages.
Fulfil orders: Be the main point of contact for our dispatch team, preparing their daily workflow and making sure every order gets out the door by our daily deadline.
Look after our customers: Act as the primary contact for our B2B and B2C customers, resolving enquiries by email and phone in a friendly, professional way.
Be part of our stock planning: Work alongside the team on our regular Amazon replenishment cycle, help prepare stock shipments to Amazon, and contribute to our monthly review of slow-moving lines and our weekly sales comparison. Full training provided.
Help assess new products: As you learn the business, assess potential new products by researching demand, competition and margin.
Oversee returns: Process and quality-check all returned stock, keeping the process smooth for our customers and our inventory accurate.
Maintain our data and website: Keep our sales order database and spreadsheets accurate and up to date and keep website content and product images current.
Provide operational support: Support other teams during peak periods. Your flexibility will be key to our success.

What we're looking for

Essential

Some hands-on experience of selling online, whether in a previous job or through personal selling. Amazon or eBay experience is what we would most like to see, but experience of running or administering a B2B or B2C commercial website (orders, listings, stock, customer enquiries) is also valuable.
A good working knowledge of Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and a willingness to develop it further. Ability to use lookups and pivot tables desirable.
Comfortable with numbers and interested in what they tell you – for example, why one product sells faster than another, or what a sensible stock level looks like.
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, and the ability to learn new online applications quickly.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication.
Highly organised, able to manage several tasks at once and work to strict daily deadlines under pressure.
A self-starter who is also a collaborative team player.

Desirable

Experience of sending stock into Amazon FBA.
Any experience of using online analytical or reporting tools.
Some experience of comparing competitors or setting prices on a marketplace.
An interest in stock planning – for example, working out how much to reorder and when.
Experience of using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in your work, and enthusiasm for finding new ways to use them. We are weaving AI into every part of how we work, and we want someone who is comfortable with that and keen to help us do more of it.
