Job Description:

Job Title : Apprentice Finance Assistant

Euro Accessories Ltd are a leading supplier of precast & construction accessories throughout the UK & Ireland, currently we have a requirement for an experienced Finance Assistant/Credit Controller to join our existing team at our Head Office in Sandbach.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, energy and drive to succeed in our rapidly expanding business. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Job Purpose:

Assist accounts team with processing financial transactions accurately and on time, maintaining and reconciling ledgers and accounts, assisting with VAT processes, communicating financial information to colleagues, using accounting software..

The successful applicant will be learning about:

· Finance basics

· Purchase ledger & Reconciliations

· Company expense reconciliations

· Sales Ledger & Credit Control

· VAT reporting, petty cash & Month-end processes

· Fixed assets & journal entries

· Inventory processes and Management accounting

· Finance systems & Excel skills

· Audit preparation – Internal & External & Financial control

· Financial planning

· Variance Analysis

Requirements:

· GCSE Maths & English (minimum of Grade 5)

· Recently completed A Levels

· An interest in pursuing a career in finance and accountancy

· Strong numerical and analytical skills

· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

· Good organisational skills

· Confident written and verbal communication skills

What we offer:

· From £8.00 per hour Apprenticeship rate

· Fully funded Level 2 AAT Apprenticeship Qualification with support

· Fully office based

· Hours 8.-30am – 5.00 pm (with 1 hour for lunch)

· Opportunity for further training

· 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (incl. Christmas shutdown)
