Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionists to join our welcoming team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. This role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a warm demeanour to create a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. Previous hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where guest satisfaction is our top priority.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a courteous check-in experience
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using the booking system
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
Process payments accurately and issue receipts or invoices as required
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and issues are resolved promptly
Maintain accurate records of guest details and preferences in accordance with data protection policies
Address guest concerns or complaints promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and hospitality at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; fluency in additional languages is highly advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office applications
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are desirable to assist international guests effectively
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest services with professionalism and warmth
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices is beneficial
A friendly demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude

Pay: £12.71 per hour
