FYP Interventions is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mentor to join our team. You will play a critical role in supporting young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges, academic roadblocks, or navigating the path beyond school.

Experience Makes a Difference: You possess prior experience working with young people in a supportive role, such as mentoring or youth work.
Youth Development : You have a good understanding of Youth development, with the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Communication: You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with young people.
Active Listener: You are a patient and empathetic listener who creates a safe space for young people to express themselves freely.
Organised and Efficient: You have strong organisational skills and time management abilities to manage your caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

Build Trusting Relationships: Become a supportive guide for young people, fostering open communication and a safe space for growth.
Individualised Mentoring: Conduct regular one-on-one sessions tailored to each young person's needs, focusing on goal setting, overcoming challenges, and developing essential life skills.
Holistic Support: Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and social workers to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting each young person's well-being.
Empowerment Through Intervention: Support with the development of individualised plans to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping young people thrive in all aspects of life.
Unleashing Potential: Motivate and inspire young people to discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
Life Skills Champion: Provide guidance on communication, social interaction, anger management, study skills, and other essential skills for navigating life's challenges.
Resource Connector: Help young people access relevant resources and opportunities available to them in the community.
Progress Tracking: Document progress through detailed case notes to measure the impact of your mentorship.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
