Job Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a General Warehouse Operative! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and movement of goods. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep our warehouse running efficiently, supporting timely shipping and receiving processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and mechanical knowledge while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and safety.

Duties

Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for dispatch, ensuring quality control standards are met.
Stock shelves and storage areas efficiently, maintaining organized and accessible inventory.
Operate warehouse management systems to track stock levels, update records, and process shipments.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and documentation.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and storage areas to uphold safety standards.
Support stock replenishment efforts and participate in inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification is a plus).
Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks.
Mechanical aptitude or knowledge is advantageous for equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards at all times.
