Join our team!

We are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team and help us manage our night shift operation.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking to progress into production management and as a growing business, you will be entrusted to take responsibility for the night shift operation, contributing to key efficiencies, production and improvements of the business.

We are keen to hear from anyone who is currently seeking the next step in their career, whether you are Production Supervisor, Senior Team Leader or Shift Leader, we are seeking the ideal candidate who is looking to take the next step into a management role.

The company is continuing to grow and invest in its operations, creating an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader to work closely with the Production Manager and develop into a more senior position in the future.

In this role you'll oversee the night shift operation, managing Supervisors and Team Leaders while ensuring production targets, quality standards and operational KPIs are achieved. You'll be responsible for driving performance, improving efficiencies and supporting the development of the wider team.

The Role

Manage the night shift production operation
Lead Supervisors, Team Leaders and production staff
Drive efficiency, productivity and performance
Monday to Thursday nights, 40 hours per week

The Person

Production or manufacturing leadership experience
Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Leader background
Strong people management skills
Looking to progress into management

You'll be based on-site at our Bakery in Harthill, located between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

This is a full time (40 hours) role working Monday - Thursday nights, start time will be between 18:00-19:00 hours and will be discussed at the next stage.

Lazy Day Foods is run by Dr Sally Beattie and Emer Bustard. They are professional food scientists, with a personal interest in food intolerances. Sally and Emer have been running Lazy Day Foods since 2006 from their own dedicated, award winning, free-from bakery in Scotland. They are passionate about making high quality treats for everyone to enjoy.

The mission of Lazy Day Foods is to bring a little relaxation and happiness into the busy lives of people with food intolerances or those on restricted diets such as vegans. Now with the help of Lazy Day Foods, everyone will be able to have their cake and eat it!
