Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team during daytime or nightime hours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering exceptional care with a friendly and professional approach.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
Administer medication following prescribed guidelines (training provided if necessary)
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery
Support with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning when required
Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments, ensuring their safety at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and team members
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others and improve their quality of life
