Full job description

Overview

We're looking for a Head Chef who is passionate about creating great food and wants to be part of a friendly, independent business.

The Bell Inn is an award-winning village pub and restaurant with rooms in the heart of Suffolk.

We pride ourselves on fresh, seasonal food, warm hospitality and creating a place that both locals and visitors love coming back to.This is a hands-on role where you'll have the freedom to put your stamp on the menu, work with quality local produce and lead a small, passionate kitchen team.

What you'll be doing-

* Leading the kitchen day to day

* Creating seasonal menus and daily specials

* Maintaining our high food standards

* Managing stock, GP and ordering

* Training and motivating the kitchen team

* Ensuring excellent food hygiene and kitchen organisation

* Working closely with the owner to keep developing our food offering

We're looking for someone who-

* Has experience as a Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up

* Loves cooking fresh food from scratch

* Enjoys leading a team by example

* Has a positive attitude and stays calm under pressure

* Takes pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen

* Wants to be part of an independent business where ideas are welcomed
