General Services Manager

Sudbury - Full time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic General Services Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation in Facilities Management.

As a General Services Manager you'll:

Lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services, ensuring exceptional service standards across the site.
Inspire, develop, and support a diverse team, creating a positive, high-performing culture where everyone can thrive.
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring their expectations are consistently exceeded.
Drive operational excellence by managing multiple services, including catering, cleaning, security, and workplace services.
Take ownership of financial performance, managing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
Champion health, safety, food safety, and compliance, ensuring all statutory and company standards are met.
Monitor service performance through audits, KPIs, and customer feedback, implementing improvements where needed.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management, helping your team develop and reach their full potential.
Identify opportunities to grow the business, improve services, and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Work collaboratively with department managers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations across the site.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
Ensure the site operates efficiently while delivering outstanding experiences for clients, customers, and colleagues.

What we're looking for:

Previous management experience within facilities management, hospitality, catering, or a multi-service operational environment.
A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large, diverse teams.
Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Experience managing compliance, health & safety, audits, and quality standards within a regulated environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple services simultaneously.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to make decisions and resolve operational challenges effectively.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
An IOSH qualification and Food Safety Level 3 are desirable.
A flexible, hands-on leader who leads by example and is committed to driving continuous improvement.
