Full job description

Do you have experience in technical administration? Are you competent in Microsoft Excel and quick to learn? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll do
We are looking for a motivated, meticulous, diligent and organised person to join the Trade Effluent team as a Technical Administrator, assisting the team with administrative activities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
managing the online system used by wastewater retailers to submit applications for trade effluent consents, in line with Open Water market regulation. This includes tracking progress and managing communication with the retailers throughout the application process
reviewing new consent applications and supporting documentation
reviewing enquiries from customers and retailers
drafting trade effluent consents, agreements and letters of authorisation, writing letters accompanying new consents, variations and revocations issued to customers
ensuring all outcomes are delivered by the team within the deadlines imposed by the Water Industry Act 1991 and the Service-level Agreements (SLAs) driven by market regulation (Open Water)
maintaining the public register of Trade Effluent Consents, both online and hard copies. Responding to requests from the public to access the register, as required by legislation
maintaining the team's database, correspondence and customer files in the cloud system
working within the team and various Wessex Water departments
preparing monthly reports for the Trade Effluent Manager on team performance and application progress, and presenting updates at monthly team meetings.
What you'll need
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach and a willingness to take on new challenges.
To be successful, you will have excellent administration skills and be a confident communicator across all levels.

a passion to learn new things.
