Job Opportunity: Full-Time office & scheduler assistant

Baileys Heating Company Limited is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Office & scheduler Assistant to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and would enjoy helping our office and scheduling teams keep everything on track, we want to hear from you!

The Role

As our Office & Scheduler Assistant, you will be a key part of our daily operations. You will support our office and finance manager with general duties while also assisting our Lead scheduler with managing engineer diaries and customer bookings. While your core hours are office-based, you will also play a supporting role in ensuring our emergency service remains seamless by assisting during on-call periods.

Location: Bedford
Core Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM 35Hrs per week
On-Call: Participation in an "Out of Hours" assistance rota
Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Work alongside our office staff in handling day-to-day tasks and general office upkeep.
Scheduling Assistance: Support the lead scheduler with the engineer’s diaries, Act as a friendly first point of contact for handling phone inquiries, booking service calls, repairs, and installations. Help rapidly adjust schedules to accommodate emergency call-outs.
On-call: Support the team during "on-call" shifts via a scheduled rota to make sure engineers are scheduled to any out of hours emergencies which come through.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in office administration, customer service, or a support role.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional, friendly telephone manner.
Proficient in using office software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
The ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritize effectively, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to learn internal systems and participate in the out-of-hours rota to support the team.
