Administrative Officer
Grade 6 £29,741 - £32,045 - this is based on full time working, 52 weeks per year.
Part-Time or Full-Time Hours Considered (up to 37 Hours Per Week) | Term Time Only
Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Are you a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Administrative Officer to join our Learning Support Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring that students receive the support and examination access arrangements they need to succeed.

Working closely with the SENDCOs, Sixth Form SEND Manager, Exams and Data Officer, teaching staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies, you will coordinate and manage all aspects of access arrangements for internal and external examinations whilst providing comprehensive administrative support to the Learning Support Department.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and processing access arrangements applications with examination boards.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with JCQ regulations.
Acting as the main point of contact for students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies regarding access arrangements.
Coordinating information gathering relating to SEND and examination support.
Leading the main access arrangements examination room during examination periods.
Organising invigilator training and coordinating examination cover arrangements.
Supporting the administration of EHCP applications and annual reviews.
Maintaining departmental records, reports, correspondence and databases.
Assisting with timetabling, resource ordering and general departmental administration.
Using systems such as SIMS, Provision Maps and Microsoft Office to analyse data and produce reports.

Supporting the School

At an appropriate level, according to the job role, grade and training received, all employees of the school are expected to:

Support the aims, values, mission and ethos of the school and participate in a team approach to all aspects of school life.

Attend and contribute to staff meetings and INSET days as required and identify areas of personal practice and experience for development.

Take appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, be aware of confidential issues relating to students, families, staff and the school, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Be aware of health and safety issues and act in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy.

Other Duties

The post holder may be required to undertake duties other than those specified in this job description, provided that they are of a similar level of responsibility and that appropriate training and support are provided where necessary.

Be professional, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ideally have experience of working in education, SEND, examinations administration or a related environment.
