Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON> to join our team in a hands-on construction or maintenance role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various building and repair techniques, with the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills further while contributing to high-quality projects. The role involves working with a range of tools and materials, ensuring safety and precision at all times.

Duties

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction, repair, or maintenance tasks
Engage in bricklaying, masonry work, and carpentry projects with attention to detail
Assist with roofing installations and repairs, ensuring durability and safety standards are met
Perform welding tasks as required for structural integrity and custom fabrication
Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organising materials
Follow technical drawings and specifications accurately during project execution
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding, or related trades
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential
A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
