Job Summary
Tierklinik Animal Health Services UK Ltd. is seeking an organised, compassionate, and service-focused Veterinary Services Supervisor to join our team in Abergavenny.
As a Veterinary Services Supervisor, you will supervise day-to-day non-clinical veterinary service activities, support administrative and client-service team members, coordinate schedules and service requests, and help maintain efficient communication between clients, veterinary professionals, operations teams, and external service providers.
You will play an important role in maintaining a positive client experience while supporting efficient veterinary service delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating workflows, monitoring outstanding requests, supporting team members, maintaining accurate records, and helping improve service processes.
This is primarily a non-clinical supervisory position. Veterinary diagnosis, prescribing, treatment decisions, clinical advice, and clinical procedures remain the responsibility of appropriately qualified veterinary professionals.
This position is suitable for candidates with experience in veterinary services, animal-health services, veterinary administration, healthcare services, practice coordination, client services, customer service, operations, or similar environments. Candidates with strong service and coordination experience who are ready to progress into supervision are also encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Supervise day-to-day non-clinical veterinary service and client-support activities.
- Provide practical guidance and support to veterinary service, reception, and administrative colleagues.
- Help allocate daily workloads and coordinate service priorities.
- Coordinate appointments, confirmations, changes, follow-ups, and routine client requests.
- Monitor service schedules and help maintain appropriate operational coverage.
- Respond professionally to non-clinical client enquiries through approved communication channels.
- Support team members with more complex client-service enquiries and concerns.
- Monitor outstanding client requests and help ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinary professionals, administration, operations, and external service providers.
- Ensure clinical, diagnostic, treatment, medication, and medical questions are directed to appropriately qualified veterinary professionals.
- Support client registration and routine service-administration processes.
- Assist with coordination of referrals and external veterinary services where applicable.
- Maintain accurate client-service, scheduling, operational, and administrative records.
- Maintain information within approved veterinary practice-management, scheduling, CRM, and service systems.
- Prepare service reports, schedules, spreadsheets, case summaries, and management updates.
- Support routine invoicing and administrative activities within assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with monitoring supplies and coordinating approved orders with suppliers.
- Support onboarding, training, coaching, and knowledge sharing for service team members.
- Help maintain service procedures, templates, FAQs, and internal knowledge resources.
- Monitor client feedback, service-quality indicators, and recurring service concerns.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, response times, and client experience.
- Support implementation of new practice systems, service procedures, and operational initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across veterinary service operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in veterinary services, animal-health services, veterinary administration, healthcare services, practice coordination, client services, customer service, operations, reception, or a related environment is preferred.
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to coordinate multiple appointments, service requests, and changing priorities.

- Familiarity with veterinary or healthcare practice-management systems is advantageous but not essential.
- General familiarity with veterinary, animal-health, healthcare, or professional-service environments is helpful but not required.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, veterinary professionals, suppliers, and managers.
- Ability to handle client and business information responsibly and confidentially.
- Ability to recognise when clinical or medical questions require referral to an appropriately qualified veterinary professional.
- Previous supervisory, senior service, team-lead, coaching, or mentoring experience is advantageous but not essential for candidates ready to progress into supervision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy service environment.
- Willingness to learn veterinary terminology, practice systems, and service procedures.
- Relevant education, professional training, or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
