Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook/Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious meals in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. Applicants should possess relevant kitchen or restaurant experience and be committed to delivering high-quality culinary creations.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise flavour and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
Ability to prepare a wide range of meals with consistency and attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service when serving guests
Flexibility to adapt to different cuisines or special dietary requirements as needed
Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn new techniques and improve skills
