Full job description

Food & Beverage Assistant

The Queens Hotel Brighton is considered one of the best hotels in Brighton where you are guaranteed a warm welcome from our friendly and professional team. The purpose of this role is to provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are always delivered and maintained in line with our guest expectations.

Part time

The Role

Meeting guests in a polite and friendly manner and standing at the door to ensure guests are promptly seated, creating a warm and welcoming environment
Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests
Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is always maintained.
Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have
Ensure that all front of house and guest areas are always well maintained
Ensure you display a presentable appearance and performances are at a high standard
Ensure the restaurant areas are always clean and well-presented and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
To be fully aware of the Hotel’s Fire Safety procedures, Health and Safety regulations and Allergens.
Covering the bar
Supporting other departments as and when required (such as kitchen)
Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen promptly and accurately
Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner
Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times and ensure that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management
Prepare all back of house service points according to expected numbers for breakfast and dinner requirements as necessary
Support the kitchen staff as and when required and in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations
Any other duties as directed by the F+B Manager or other member of the management team
