Bank Cook / Housekeeper – Best Lives

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Bank Cook / Housekeeper to join the Best Lives team.

Our approach is fully person-centred, focusing on wellbeing, choice, and empowering people to live life in a way that works best for them.

About the Role

As a Bank Cook / Housekeeper, you will provide essential day-to-day support within a domestic setting, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment. You will also be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional home-style meals from fresh ingredients for three elderly gentlemen, tailored to their individual tastes, dietary needs, and preferences, following a set menu plan.

This is a varied and hands-on role that includes cooking, housekeeping, and general support duties, including weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities

Cook and prepare fresh, traditional home-cooked meals and desserts daily, in line with individual preferences and dietary requirements
Follow and contribute to menu planning
Assist with ordering ingredients, stock control, and stock rotation
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness, including daily recording and monitoring
Carry out general housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry
Provide a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained home environment
Support with basic daily tasks and activities as required
Potentially assist with transportation to appointments where needed
Work flexibly across weekdays and weekends as part of a bank staff rota
