Company Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our existing team at Smart-Space.

Smart Space Instant Buildings has over 30 years of expertise in manufacturing and installing temporary and permanent buildings. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, flexible building solutions quickly and safely, serving a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to help lead our on-site teams in the successful execution of building projects. Whilst you will be supervising our teams, this is still very much a hands on role. In the absence of a Site Manager, you will also be paid an enhanced rate when standing in for the Manager.

Please note current hourly rate for this role is £13.46, this is due to increase to £13.95 as of 14th September 2026.

Duties

Install and dismantle temporary structures around the UK including floor fixings, constructing frames, installing panels and roof covers.
Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines on site.
Use all plant machinery in accordance with safety guidelines
Assist with training of new starters.
Run installs or dismantles in the absence of a Site Manager, including talking to customers and managing the site team.
Attend training as and when required.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction or site supervision roles
Valid Driving License
Up to date CSCS card
SSSTS is an advantage
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to communicate clearly with team members, clients, and stakeholders
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Supervising experience in steel or temporary building projects is beneficial
