Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining an organised sales environment. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Italian, is highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele. This role offers an engaging retail experience where organisational skills and effective communication are essential for success.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product selection
Offer knowledgeable advice on merchandise, including features and benefits
Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and organise merchandise displays
Handle customer enquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette
Assist in organising promotional events and seasonal displays
Ensure the sales floor remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
Support team members in achieving sales targets and organisational goals

Skills

Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian or additional languages is advantageous
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
Excellent organisational skills to manage stock and maintain visual standards
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash register operations
Good time management to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance customer experience and sales performance
Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays
Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone
Organisational skills to keep the sales area neat and well-stocked
