Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a solid background in both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance projects, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and leading a team of maintenance professionals.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the maintenance of the building, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment, focusing on preventative measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and logic controllers.
Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide maintenance tasks effectively.
Lead projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and service history.
Provide training and support to team members in best practices for maintenance procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the facility.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment.
Proficiency in electrical systems, including logic controllers.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
