Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent guest experience and maintaining a smooth-running bar operation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry, working alongside skilled professionals in a vibrant setting. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in hospitality.

Duties

Assist bartenders by restocking supplies such as glasses, garnishes, and beverages to ensure efficient service.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Prepare basic food items or garnishes as required for drink presentation or guests orders.
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to management promptly.
Support with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after service hours.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Provide friendly assistance to guests, ensuring they have a positive experience.
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hygiene and guest experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or shifts as required by the venue’s operating hours.
A friendly demeanour coupled with good organisational skills will contribute to success in this role. This position provides an excellent platform for those looking to build a career within the hospitality sector while gaining valuable practical experience in a lively environment.
