North Lanarkshire Properties LLP (NLP) is embarking on an ambitious transformation programme as part of our Business Plan 2026–2031, focused on modernising services, improving customer experience, strengthening business performance and supporting economic growth across North Lanarkshire. As we continue to invest in our people and property portfolio, we are seeking a motivated and professionally qualified Surveyor to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of almost 1,000 commercial properties, including shops, industrial units, offices, business centres and development sites, helping to maximise asset performance while supporting local businesses, communities and regeneration initiatives across North Lanarkshire.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will provide a co-ordinated property service to North Lanarkshire Properties LLP and North Lanarkshire Council, supporting the letting, valuation, management and strategic development of commercial property assets.
You will be involved in a broad range of professional surveying activities, including property valuation, lease negotiations, lettings, portfolio management, tenant liaison, rent collection support, property marketing and identifying development opportunities within the portfolio.
Working closely with colleagues, customers, tenants and stakeholders, you will contribute to delivering a professional, customer-focused property management service while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards and RICS guidance.

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused property professional who can combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Essential Requirements
You will hold a degree-level qualification, SVQ5 or equivalent in a property-related discipline. Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is required for NLC12 appointments or be actively working towards RICS qualification for NLC10 appointments. You will have considerable experience in commercial property valuation and surveying and experience negotiating with tenants, landlords, customers and stakeholders.
Your base location will be within Dalziel Building, Motherwell however you must be able to travel throughout the North Lanarkshire area to undertake the duties of this post.
Work pattern:
35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
