Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook and become a vital part of creating delicious, nutritious meals in a lively, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen manager
Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Support serving activities by plating meals and helping with distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers or guests
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is preferred
Knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary practices to assist in meal creation
Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to take direction
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Serving experience or familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus but not required
