Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and be an essential part of creating a smooth, efficient, and welcoming culinary environment. In this lively role, you'll support the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and organisation. Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
Support the storage and organisation of supplies and ingredients to ensure easy access for kitchen staff.
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently.
Help with setting up workstations for meal service and clearing after busy periods.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to create a safe working environment for everyone.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues.
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Knowledge of health and safety standards related to food handling is a plus but can be learned on the job.
