Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and energetic MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) techniques to assemble and repair metal components. Your will contribute to the creation of durable, precise structures and products,

Responsibilities

Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings for different materials and thicknesses
Perform MIG welding on various metals, including steel and aluminum, following detailed specifications and safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials for welding, such as cutting, grinding, and shaping sheet metal and other components
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate fabrication
Conduct quality checks on welded joints for strength, appearance, and compliance with standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Assist in assembly processes by fitting parts together accurately before welding

Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding standards
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment effectively
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently
Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately and calculating dimensions
Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical components
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
