Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Hand/Cook, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to creating delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen experience, support food preparation, and ensure food safety standards are maintained. Whether you're passionate about cooking or eager to build your restaurant experience, this position is perfect for motivated individuals ready to make a positive impact through their culinary talents.

Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients efficiently and accurately
Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Help with meal assembly and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing
Support the team during busy service periods by staying proactive and maintaining a positive attitude

Requirements

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
A proactive attitude with a passion for culinary arts and serving others

We require the applicant to work three 10 hours shift three times a week over seven days
