Full job description

Core Prescribing Solutions is a dynamic, award-winning organization looking for a highly motivated National Operations Manager to join their growing team. Having scooped various awards for clinical work, the team are now venturing forward to continue excelling in a number of different channels. The post holder will work alongside the board of Directors, the Clinical Operations manager, Training and Development team, as well as the senior Leadership Team to propel further clinical excellence, business growth and ultimately improve patient care, by reducing challenges in current primary care settings.

The ideal candidate will work full-time, 8 hours per day, typically from 9am to 6pm

(Based in Bradford - BD1) HYBRID

The post holder will be a strong leader with a thorough understanding of the intricacies of primary care, and relevant knowledge, as well as prior experience of managing teams in clinical settings and be able to navigate clinical systems such as EMIS and SystmOne.

Main Duties include:

Managing the day to day running of the business ensuring clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and any other clinical and non-clinical members of the team deliver services to an excellent standard which meets and exceeds CPPE, GPhC, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and all other regulatory and legal standards.
Service development and delivery to an excellent standard and always looking to take the service delivered to the next level beyond what is being currently delivered
Providing leadership, direction, and management of all staff members
Help develop a culture of openness and transparency with all team members
Develop and execute training resources and methods
Liaising with clients and stakeholders
Helping with managing rota’s, attendance, punctuality, clinical incidents
Measuring service delivery against internal frameworks, using KPI’s to performance manage and improve clinical outcomes
Manage enrolment and completion of the CPPE course for staff members
Training and development of staff members, and implementing PDP plans
Reviewing staff performance, performance management of all members of the team ensuring they are hitting the relevant targets and demonstrating weekly growth of their clinical activities and ensuring KPI’s are being met and exceeded.
Develop, execute and monitor key metrics and dashboards which monitor any services delivered operationally and show these to the Shareholders, Board of Directors or Senior Leadership when required such as but not restricted to patient satisfaction, client feedback, monitoring clinical data reports.
Ensuring staff training, compliance and competencies are up to date and meet the desired need
Ensuring staff behaviour and ethos is aligned with the ethos and vision of the business
Providing operational recommendations to the other members of the executive management team
Advising on short-term and long-term operational and business planning
Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
Develop and implement robust solutions to ensure any service delivered by the company is to an excellent standard
To act in good faith and promote the long-term success of the Company for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders.
Gathering feedback from surgeries, PCN's, Federations and any other external and internal stakeholders
Creating, leading and delivering service and contract review presentations based on clinical and non-clinical outcomes
Positively contribute to the companies client retention rate and help to grow the business organically through excellent service management and delivery
Reviewing workstreams completed by clinical staff members, measuring service delivery against internal metrics and KPI’s.
Auditing services delivered by clinicians to ensure they align with companies’ clinical governance standards and any regulatory and best practice guidance.

Role Requirements

Evidence of continued professional development
Vast experience of working within primary care and the intricate functions
Has a planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise own workload to meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
Able to effectively manage allocated resources
Good clinical pharmacy knowledge including terminology
An appreciation of NHS agenda and government targets
An intricate knowledge of primary care and the NHS
Understand the Primary Care Network DES and GMS and PMS contracts
Honesty, integrity and evidence of improving patient outcomes
Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
Knowledge and awareness of the legal, ethical, professional and organisational policies and procedures relevant to the role
Experience in supporting common acute and long-term conditions
Strong clinical leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and good understanding of PCN working
Confident individual with a proactive attitude.
A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, but also work closely with other team members and displaying trust, loyalty and be able to meet deadlines
Must be disciplined and well organised
Authoritative, honest and persuasive yet tactful
Energetic and enthusiastic
Ability to create a good working plan in relation to specific workstreams and determination to accomplish goals
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction
Be both a strategic thinker as well as being a capable implementer
Must be able to multi-task and keep calm and work well under pressure

An interest to scope, develop and deliver bespoke new clinical services to improve patient outcomes nationally
Be able to conduct themselves professionally in meetings with clients, stakeholders and staff members.
Prior experience of working for a scaling business and managing teams at scale
Prior experience of using data to performance manage clinical and non-clinical teams
Evidence of ensuring excellent service delivery in the NHS by measuring KPI’s and monitoring teams performances against the set KPI’s
