We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine desire to support others.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their specific needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
Help with medication management and basic health monitoring as required
Support with domestic tasks including light cleaning and meal preparation
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of care plans and understanding of individual client needs is advantageous
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are preferred
Good command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication
Driving licence is beneficial for roles involving transportation of clients
Strong communication skills are vital for building trust and rapport with clients and team members
