Join Our Team at Bromley Court Hotel

Bromley Court Hotel is one of the largest and most established independent hotels in the area, hosting a wide range of meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets and private events throughout the year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to help deliver exceptional guest experiences across our busy Conference & Banqueting operation whilst supporting our wider Food & Beverage team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys leading teams from the front, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

About the Role

As Conference & Banqueting Supervisor, you will support the successful delivery of meetings, conferences, weddings, banqueting and private events across the hotel.

You will ensure event spaces are prepared to the highest standard, coordinate operational delivery on the day, supervise service teams, and maintain excellent communication between departments.

During quieter conference periods, you will also provide operational support across our restaurant and bar outlets, helping to maintain consistently high service standards throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities Conference & Banqueting Operations

Supervise conferences, meetings, weddings, banquets and private functions.
Ensure all event rooms are set up accurately according to function sheets.
Conduct pre-event inspections and quality checks.
Liaise with Sales, Kitchen and the Conference & Banqueting Manager to ensure seamless event delivery.
Coordinate room turnarounds and event preparations.
Ensure AV equipment, refreshments and service stations are prepared.
Act as the operational point of contact during events.
Support post-event breakdowns and room resets.

Restaurant & Bar Operations

Support restaurant and bar operations when conference activity allows.
Lead service during busy periods.
Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Lunch service.
Support table service within bar operations.
Work flexibly across all Food & Beverage outlets.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, motivate and develop Food & Beverage Assistants and Casual Team Members.
Deliver coaching and on-the-job training.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily objectives.
Create a positive, guest-focused working environment.
Lead by example and promote high standards of service and professionalism.

Operational Standards

Ensure all areas are maintained to exceptional presentation standards.
Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety and hotel operating procedures.
Complete opening and closing duties.
Report maintenance issues promptly.
Monitor service standards and ensure consistency across operations.

Guest Experience

Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
Use guest feedback to continuously improve the customer experience.

What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements

Previous supervisory experience within Conference & Banqueting, or Hotel Food & Beverage operations.
Experience supervising conferences, weddings and private events.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, guest-focused approach.
Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy event periods.

Desirable

Experience using hotel systems.
Understanding of licensing regulations.
Experience working within a hotel environment.
