Full job description

Due to increased business and growth, we are looking for a highly driven and enthusiastic, fully qualified butcher that is competent in all aspects of the roll to work in our busy High street shop.

The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, be punctual and well presented. You will need to be a self-motivated, all-rounder. You will be required to work in the team as well as independently, have a flexible attitude and be prepared to learn our way within the trade.
It would be an advantage that they held a full driving license as they may be asked to carry out deliveries from time to time.
Working days are 7am to 4pm Tuesday-Friday and 7am-2pm (approx) Saturday with Sunday and Monday off. 4 weeks holiday pay per year pro rata as well as bank holidays in leu where applicable.
A full block test will be required as part of the interview process.

Duties could include but are not limited to-

Roles & Responsibilities
· A commercial awareness and the understanding of yields/ margins & costs
· Assist in the coaching and development of less experienced members of the team
· Provide excellent customer service and cutting skills
· Assist in creating an appealing counter display
· Production of value-added products
· Sausage & burger making
· Full carcase butchery
· Understanding and practice of HACCP
· Efficient & effective stock control
· An active team member across all areas of the business
· Excellent hygiene and play your part in keeping the department clean and tidy
