Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in data entry and processing accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Duties

Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks
Enter financial data accurately into systems like Workday and other relevant platforms
Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation
Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or queries
Assist with general administrative tasks related to finance operations
Contribute to process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software including Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Workday
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services industry standards
Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience working with accounting platforms such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is desirable
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and professional attitude
