Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee or Fully Qualified Dental Nurse to join our 2 surgery reputable dental practice for a provisional start date of 1 August 2026. We are a two surgery practice in an affluent region in North London. We are accepting full time or part time Dental Nurses. Trainee Dental Nurses will be paid £12.50 per hour, and Qualified Dental Nurses who will be paid between £13 - 18 per hour dependant on experience. The Principal Dentist will offer mentoring and is a high profile Implant and Endodontic Dentist who undertakes Medicolegal work, and will provide one-to-one mentoring to ensure career growth and professional development.

The successful candidate will support dentists during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career in dental nursing. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced nurses and those seeking internship opportunities to gain practical experience.

Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment
Maintain strict infection control protocols, including sterilisation of equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment
Record patient information accurately using IT systems and update dental records as required
Support patients with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and post-treatment instructions
Ensure the smooth operation of the clinic by organising supplies and managing clinical waste appropriately
Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers to facilitate seamless dental care delivery

Qualifications

Prior experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Strong IT skills for managing electronic health records and administrative tasks
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a busy clinical environment
A caring attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care
Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail
