Core working hours are between 8:00 and 19:30. There is also a requirement to work one Saturday or Sunday every five weeks (you’ll then get a day off the following week) and one bank holiday a year. Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts have additional pay rates. The role is based cross-site at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley Hospital dispensary.

To effectively use all relevant pharmacy IT systems including EMIS, Omn icell and Pharmacy Web Tracker

To carry out technical pharmaceutical duties in specified areas of the pharmacy service including dispensing and distribution of medicines .

To plan and manage own workload and that of pharmacy technicians and assistants to ensure services are delivered in a cost effective and operationally efficient manner .

To be involved in the delivery of training and development of colleagues including supporting with the competency assessment process .
