Join Lodge Security – Where Great Service Happens Even When No One Is Watching
At Lodge, we enhance brand experiences and create safe environments through people who truly care. We are looking for an Area Manager who shares our values and can lead with purpose, build trusted client relationships, and deliver consistently high service standards across multiple sites.
If you are proactive, organised, and driven by the impact of quality—not just task completion—this is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑growing, people‑focused organisation.
Role Purpose:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth, both by expanding existing client relationships and by securing new clients for Lodge.
They lead renewals, shape commercial strategy, identify new opportunities, respond to tenders, and proactively hunt for new business across key sectors. They position Lodge as a strategic partner by understanding client needs, presenting future-focused solutions and working with Marketing to generate targeted campaigns.
The BDM does not run operations or handle day-to-day issues. Instead, they own the commercial narrative — ensuring sustainable, profitable growth that supports Lodge’s long-term ambitions.
A Day in the Life of a Business Development Manager
No two days are alike, but here’s how the rhythm typically feels:
08:30 — Portfolio & Pipeline Review
You check HubSpot to review your existing account pipeline, upcoming renewals and new business prospects. You assess where CSM insights or Ops performance themes create warm openings.
09:15 — Tender & Portal Scan
You log into tender portals and opportunity feeds to identify new contracts entering the market. You shortlist viable opportunities based on sector, scope and capability, and add them to HubSpot.
10:00 — Market Networking & Prospecting
You spend an hour researching target organisations, engaging on LinkedIn, and reaching out to warm prospects. You scan sector news and trigger events that signal security demand.
11:30 — Strategic Client Meeting
You join a senior stakeholder call with an existing client to discuss their future plans — expansion, risk, technology upgrades. You position Lodge’s solutions in a consultative, insight-led way.
13:00 — Lunch Break & Travel
A proper break. Many days include travel for client visits, networking events, exhibitions or industry meetings.
14:30 — QBR (Quarterly Business Review)
You attend a QBR with Ops and the CSM. Ops talk through performance, the CSM presents insight and sentiment, and you cover roadmap, innovation, next-phase planning and service evolution.
16:00 — Proposal or Tender Development
You collaborate with Ops, Finance and CSM to shape proposals, build pricing, and prepare tender submissions. You ensure the commercial model is robust, profitable and aligned with client need.
17:00 — Pipeline Updates & Forecasting
You update HubSpot, tidy your prospect notes, prepare for tomorrow’s prospecting, and ensure all commercial activity is logged accurately.
