Join our Customer Experience Committee as an Independent Member

Are you a Saxon Weald resident who wants to help shape the services we provide?

Would you like to share your views and experiences to help us improve?
Are you interested in influencing decisions that affect customers?
Would you enjoy developing new skills and gaining valuable experience?
Can you commit around 6 days each year?

About the role

Our Customer Experience Committee plays an important role in making sure customers' voices are heard and reflected in the decisions we make. The committee helps us understand what's important to customers and supports our ambition to put customers at the heart of everything we do.

As an Independent Member, you'll be a full member of the committee, bringing your perspective and experience as a Saxon Weald customer. To apply, you'll need to be a current Saxon Weald tenant or leaseholder.

We're keen to hear from people with different backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints. The more diverse the voices around the table, the better we can understand and meet the needs of the communities we serve.

What's involved?

The role includes:

Attending four committee meetings each year.
Taking part in two Board away days each year alongside Board and committee members.
Reading meeting papers in advance and preparing for discussions.
Sharing your views and helping to shape and improve our services.
Working with other committee members to make a positive difference for customers.

Two committee meetings are held in person at our Horsham office and two are held online via Microsoft Teams. Board away days take place in person.

In return for your contribution, you'll receive:

£3,150 per year.
Reimbursement of reasonable travel and other approved expenses.
A laptop or alternative device to support you in the role.
Induction, training and ongoing support to help you build your knowledge and confidence.
