Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the face of our coffee shop, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for every guest. Your energy and passion for coffee will help foster a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage preparation while contributing to a lively, fast-paced setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide friendly, efficient service
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
Manage cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills for quick checkouts
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout your shift
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role, with a passion for coffee and customer service
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Ability to perform food preparation tasks with attention to detail
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills to engage with customers warmly and professionally
Basic math proficiency for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining independence when needed

Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
