Full job description

Toray Textiles Europe Ltd is seeking to recruit a Sales Planning / Customer Service Coordinator to join its Sales Planning and Customer Service Department. The successful candidate will support the effective day-to-day running of the department by assisting with production planning, order processing, customer communication and internal coordination across the business.

Based at Toray Textiles Europe Ltd’s Mansfield site, this role is suited to an organised, customer-focused individual who is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing and office environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to balance customer requirements with production and planning priorities.

Working Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm (40 Hours Per Week).

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative, planning and customer service support to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently, production requirements are accurately communicated, and internal departments have the information they need to meet business and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the planning of weaving shed activity, helping to ensure production priorities are understood, scheduled and communicated effectively.
Support the planning and administration of production works orders, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and available to relevant departments.
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, including checking order details, maintaining records and supporting the dispatch process through to completion.
Liaise with external agents and customers in a professional and timely manner, responding to queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
Monitor order progress and assist with updates to customers where required.
Maintain accurate administrative records, reports and documentation relating to orders, production planning and customer service activity.
Support the department in identifying and resolving day-to-day issues that may affect customer orders, planning schedules or dispatch requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting efficient working practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and communication.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and qualities:

Previous experience of working in a busy office, administrative, customer service or planning environment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence dealing with customers, agents and colleagues at all levels.
Good numerical skills and attention to detail, particularly when processing orders, checking information and maintaining records.
The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision when required.
A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing business priorities.
A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing a professional and reliable service.
An interest in manufacturing, textiles, production planning or supply chain processes would be advantageous.

Working Relationships

The role will involve regular communication with customers, external agents and a range of internal departments. The post holder will be expected to build effective working relationships, share information clearly and support a coordinated approach to customer service and production planning.
