Our award winning service offers a comprehensive range of flooring to property owners, main contractors and direct to the public sector and we are long established as a market leader in our industry.

Role

We are now looking to employ a Contract Surveyor (fixed Term contract, maternity cover) to become part of our team.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17:00pm & Friday, 08:00am to 16:00pm.

Salary: Competitive

Start Date: August 2026 (duration: 14 months)

Job Description

· Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.

· Working closely with the Contracts Management, Estimating & Buying departments to ensure the commercial viability of contracts.

· Attend pre-start meetings.

· Checks against sub-contract orders.

· Taking an active role in Veitchi Flooring supply chain management to ensure relationships are developed with key manufacturers, suppliers & subcontractors.

· Taking full commercial control of projects. Preparing interim valuations and agreeing final accounts.

· Placing all subcontract orders to ensure best value for business.

· Preparing monthly cost to value reports

· Carrying out Site Measurements

· Controlling Variations and all other Project costs.

· Agreeing and negotiating Final account settlements.

Knowledge, Experience & Requirements

· Honesty and Integrity are key requirements.

· Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a contracting organisation.

· Comfortable working with minimal supervision and ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.

· Able to show track record of performing within a performance management environment, consistently achieving better than tender margins.

· Experience with Software such as MS word and excel.

· Driving Licence Essential
