Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a vital part of our kitchen operation, the Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and adherence to company policies.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards.
Monitor food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Support training programmes for new staff members to uphold consistent culinary standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Assist in developing new menu items and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive food production, preparation, and cooking skills with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
Demonstrable team management capabilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Previous experience in restaurant settings or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.
