We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the team at HMP Kirkham, a Category D / Open prison in Lancashire.

Practice Plus Group provides healthcare services across primary care, mental health and substance misuse, and these services would not be possible without our fantastic administration team, and that's where you come in!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team!

Hours: Full Time / 37.5 per week. Shifts are Monday - Friday:

2 x 10:00 - 18:00

3 x 08:00 - 16:00

Salary: £25,821 - £28,574 per annum

What you'll be doing

As our new Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

As the first point of contact for the healthcare team, you will actively speak to hospitals, GP surgeries, solicitors and others, arranging external appointments for patients, referrals etc
Book patients in for appointments
Use the prison system to advise of any healthcare related issues, such as limited duties or illness
Work closely with the wider prison team to arrange hospital appointments, escorts and bed watch. You will also ensure that prison officers have up to date clinic lists
Update trackers, systems and spreadsheets for hospital appointments, admissions, consent forms etc
General admin duties such as scanning, post, minute taking and stock check

Have extensive administration experience, ideally within a healthcare / medical setting, such as hospitals, GP surgery etc
Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with lots of phone based work
Any healthcare knowledge and experience would be a bonus
SystmOne knowledge would be beneficial
Be confident using data and maintaining spreadsheets, so excel skills are essential
