Part-Time Accounts Assistant

CJS Refurbishments

Job Type: Part-time

Location: Office-based

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the role

Due to continued growth, CJS Refurbishments is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our team.

This is a hands-on accounts position, so we are looking for someone who can confidently manage their own workload and work on their own initiative.

Previous accounts experience and experience using Sage Accounting are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Sage Accounting – confident and experienced in day-to-day processing and reporting
Bank reconciliation
Purchase ledger – processing supplier invoices, raising purchase invoices and preparing payments
Credit control – managing outstanding payments and communicating with customers regarding overdue accounts
Wages submission – processing payroll information and ensuring wages are submitted accurately and on time
Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
General day-to-day accounts administration

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Have proven accounts experience
Have strong experience using Sage Accounting – essential
Have experience with bank reconciliation, purchase ledger, credit control and wages submissions
Be self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Have the ability to work on their own initiative
Be highly organised and able to manage their own workload
Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Be reliable, proactive and confident
Have good communication skills

Hours & Benefits

This is a part-time, office-based position, with some flexibility around working hours for the right candidate.

Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.
