Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant Front of House Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and service, and supporting the management team to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly desirable, along with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise front of house staff, including serving, hosting, and barista duties, ensuring smooth daily operations
Assist in managing reservations, guest enquiries, and seating arrangements to optimise customer experience
Support food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders in collaboration with kitchen staff
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the establishment
Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, fostering a positive team environment
Oversee staff scheduling, training, and development to enhance team performance
Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events within the venue
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, with a focus on front of house operations
Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety standards
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy setting
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
Experience in hotel or restaurant is essential
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service with attention to detail
