Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the practice. Your energy and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations, treatments, and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Ensure patient comfort by providing clear instructions and compassionate support throughout their visit.
Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilization in accordance with health regulations.
Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
Provide excellent communication to answer patient questions, explain procedures, and offer post-treatment advice.
Support administrative tasks such as booking appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining clinical supplies.
Uphold health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Qualified Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental practice.
Valid GDC registration and Indemnity as a qualified Dental Nurse with the appropriate regulatory body.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
A caring and compassionate approach towards patients and colleagues.
Proficiency in IT systems used for record-keeping and appointment management.
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with patients, colleagues, and external providers.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and health & safety regulations relevant to dental care.
