Overview
Bank House is a popular restaurant in the heart of Hathersage, renowned for exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and memorable guest experiences. As part of The Northern Collective, an independent hospitality, retail, and leisure group operating throughout the Peak District and South Sheffield, we are committed to quality, consistency, and investing in our people.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. This is a vital role within the business, helping to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely every day.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of the kitchen. Working closely with the chefs and front-of-house team, you will help create an environment where great food and excellent service can be delivered consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
Assisting with deliveries, storage, and stock organisation
Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required
Ensuring all cleaning schedules and procedures are completed accurately
Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
Removing waste and recycling in line with company procedures
Keeping kitchen areas organised, safe, and ready for service
Supporting the wider team wherever needed during busy periods

About You

We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys being part of a team.

You will ideally be:

Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Willing to learn and take pride in your work
A positive and supportive team player
Organised and attentive to detail
Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
