Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering personalised care tailored to their unique needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Provide specialised care for individuals dementia, or other cognitive impairments.
Support patients with medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
Manage behaviour effectively and employ behaviour management techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being.
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient care, dementia, and senior care practices.
Certification or training in first aid is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist with mobility support.
Valid driving licence for transportation duties.
Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed.
